Краткий обзор фильма:
В декабре 2137 года, спустя 15 лет после потери космического корабля «Ностромо», дочь Эллен Рипли, Аманда, отправляется в самое опасное путешествие в своей жизни, с целью расследовать загадочное исчезновение своей матери. Долгие годы никаких следов пропавшего корабля найти не удавалось. Однажды, представитель «Вейланд-Ютани» рассказывает Аманде о найденном самописце «Ностромо», после чего предлагает вместе изучить находку, на обитаемой космической станции «Севастополь», куда и был доставлен груз. По прибытии они обнаруживают, что на станции повсюду ходят вооруженные люди, часть отсеков заблокирована, а остатки органов правопорядка забаррикадировались в центре управления. Тем временем неизвестная форма жизни методично истребляет население станции.
