Шестнадцатилетний Майлз Холтер интересуется предсмертными высказываниями известных людей. Следуя последним словам Франсуа Рабле, он оставляет свою скучную жизнь с родителями и отправляется учиться в новую школу Калвер Крик в поисках «Великого „Возможно“».
