Краткий обзор фильма:
Индия, Царство Видеха. Правитель Джанака не имеет детей, о чем переживает вместе с женой. Также в царстве за 12 лет не упало ни капли дождя. Посоветовавшись с гуру, правитель выливает плуг из чистого золота и начинает пахать иссохшую землю. Вскоре Джанака находит в земле корзинку с младенцем, и с первым вздохом Ситы на землю проливается дождь.

Sita and her sisters go through the forest to look for the missing cows. A Brahmin warns her against roaming in the woods since Ahalya's ashram is located there. He tells her that Ahalya had been cursed by Gautam Maharshi. Sita returns home with the cows. Later, she questions Rishi Gautam about his curse.
