В центре сериала опытный следователь Катрин Рис Йенсен, которая вот уже много лет руководит расследованиями уголовных преступлений в столице Дании. Thomas Schaeffer is disturbed by this mysterious, brutal attack, and takes the case. While the investigation proceeds, another family is kidnapped and held prisoner in their home. The killer sequesters the husband from his wife and child, and in a sadistic game forces the wife and child to role-play his own family.
