Краткий обзор фильма:
Наступает Рождество, и психолог, а в прошлом сотрудница ФБР Ингер Юханне Вик вместе с дочерьми Стиной и Линнеей хотят провести праздники в кругу семьи, но этому не суждено сбыться — Стина оказывается свидетельницей жестокого убийства местной телеведущей, но что хуже всего — убийца заметил ее. Однако Стина, будучи больной аутизмом, еще больше замыкается в себе и никому не рассказывает о том, что видела. Вскоре Ингер Юханне знакомится с Ингваром Нюманном из Национального бюро расследований, который предлагает ей вернуться в полицию — какое-то время назад Ингер ушла из ФБР, решив посвятить себя семье и написать парочку книг, но теперь ее знания и опыт снова могут пригодиться.
