2029 год. Пульт и батарейки прилагаются не только к дрону или умной технике. Незаменимые человекоподобные роботы стали реальностью. Поначалу призванные подменять человека в шахтах, в космосе и на тяжёлом производстве, они быстро проникли на улицы и в дома: будят по утрам, варят кофе, ухаживают за пожилыми и детьми, становятся любовниками.
