Скотт Тернер — педантичный и амбициозный федеральный маршал. Однажды судьба сводит его с огромной и совершенно неуправляемой собакой по кличке Хуч. Взаимоотношения между человеком и животным поначалу складываются не лучшим образом, но вскоре Тернер и Хуч приходят к взаимопониманию и начинают работать как одна слаженная команда.
