Краткий обзор фильма:
Утро сержанта полиции Сан-Висенте начинается с того, что он обнаруживает в фонтане голого мужчину средних лет, воздевающего руки к небу и бормочущего молитву на непонятном языке. Найденным оказывается не кто-нибудь, а могущественный судья Пернелл Харрис, в чьем душевном здравии начинают сомневаться врачи и его же собственная жена Кристал. Тем более, что для сумасшествия у судьи есть повод — его сын Пи Джей лежит в коме после неудачной попытки самоубийства.Прогнозы медиков совсем не обнадеживают — Харрис-младший уже никогда не придет в себя. Единственным, кто верит, что молодой человек еще может очнуться, остается его отец.
