В 1940 году из Европы в Южную Америку отправляется трансатлантический лайнер, который везет счастливых людей, бегущих от войны в новый дивный мир. Среди пассажиров две сестры Каролина и Ева, а также офицер Николас Сала. Вскоре на борту находят труп неизвестного пассажира, которого не было в списках, более того его никто не может вспомнить. Сестры вместе с Николасом расследуют убийство, но ясно только одно: почти каждому пассажиру есть, что скрывать.
