Ранее Марчелла успешно занималась расследованием преступлений в особом отделении полиции, но теперь всецело поглощена собственным бракоразводным процессом, который доводит её до сумасшествия. Женщина чувствует себя опустошённой. Её организм истощён постоянными конфликтами с бывшим супругом. К тому же совсем скоро ей предстоит прощание с дочерью, которая отправляется на учёбу в школу-интернат. Главная героиня с трудом возвращается к привычной жизни.
