Тайный отдел Агентства Национальной Безопасности США (NSA) разработал технологию по перемещению во времени, основанную на инопланетных технологиях найденных в Розвелле, Нью-Мексико. Сфера может осуществить «шаг назад» только на семь дней из-за ограничений инопланетного реактора и топлива. Так как количество топлива ограничено, пользование Сферой разрешается только для случаев связанных с «национальной безопасностью». Проект находится на тайной военной базе в пустыне Невады.
