Однажды в маленьком городе происходит невероятное происшествие: на вокзале останавливается поезд, всегда следовавший без остановок. Более того, на ночном перроне оказывается одинокая красавица — одна из тех, что никогда прежде не заезжали так далеко от Бухареста. Учитель Марин Мирою дает красавице Моне приют на ночь. Конечно же, молодые люди понимают, что влюблены, и решают не расставаться. Но наступает день, и за красавицей приезжает ее друг.
